Executive One on One Coaching

Coaching is a confidential one-on-one relationship (or designed alliance) between the coach and coachee focused on developing an individual to their next "level" of development as envisioned and defined by the individual.

Coaching encourages individuals to become their "best self" and to contribute their "best fit" and talents to an organization, to their work, to their life . Coaching works because it is a voluntary process, an ongoing process (not a program) tailored specifically for the individual (instead of a standard "one size fits all" approach or solution.)

Coaching builds the coachee’s level of awareness and responsibility through a process of inquiry and values clarification process. The coach also provides the coachee with objective feedback on personal/professional growth, life balance, and impact as a leader. It is the process of equipping coachees with the tools, knowledge, competencies and opportunities to fully develop themselves.

Within a corporate context, this process speaks directly to both the new employee, otherwise known as a "free agent", whose operating philosophies are very different than the Baby Boomer Generation and it serves Baby Boomers in taking them to their next level of leadership.

We believe that every person is inherently resourceful and has a natural ability to identify their strengths and areas of improvement in an environment that encourages creativity and supports the individual.

We are especially skilled at one on one coaching and able to quickly create a safe/trusting environment that inspires coachees to: take stock of where they are (present), be clear on where they are going (future visions/goals), identify what’s working and what’s not (gap), and consequently, develop and implement a custom personal action plan.

Since coaching is an ongoing relationship, follow up is provided each step of the way. Also, since the coachee is driving the process (through an agenda they develop for each call), he or she is more likely to fulfill the goals they have set for themselves.

Our approach to coaching is unique in that, unlike many other coaching organizations, we don’t promise to "fix people." We see people as capable of initiating their own change. Our role is to facilitate their changes through the: artful use of coaching skills, the process of collaborating, championing, celebrating and serving as a trusted sounding board.
And in the process of coaching, the coach models these skills on each call. The best way to learn how to coach, is to be coached. The learning process is organic. Our experience has shown us that the most successful coaches experience coaching themselves and therefore can speak of the value it brings to an organization.

Coaching is very powerful because it empowers individuals to take responsibility for developing their skills, take ownership for their career development and achieve their personal/professional life goals. Through coaching, individuals gain clarity of their: visions, develop competencies critical to their development as individuals/leaders/professionals, identify gaps and put measurable action plans into motion.

Ultimately, individuals increase their contributions to the organization's profitability and are more likely to increase their commitment and loyalty. We believe that people don't leave organizations, they leave managers. So the more effective the leaders, the more likely talented people will stay longer. Organizations don't change, people do.

True coaching works best when coaching is seen as a benefit or as an incentive for high level performers rather than a resource to "fix" "C" level leaders or people with disciplinary issues. Also, coaching has been proven effective in organizations when the coach has the freedom to: ask powerful questions and hold the coachee's agenda while supporting the organization’s overall vision of a fully contributing employee. Imposed agenda's usually don't work because it erodes trust and credibility.

The result of the "coach approach" is that it encourages a powerful process of self -discovery, creativity, increased productivity and lasting change. We provide several coaching package options. The same cancellation policy listed on our enrollment form applies to Executive One on One Coaching.
